A black "Official" USMC Fleece liner to go under the ECWCS or the Rain Shell pictured on the right. This is a very heavy, nicely made garment. It has zippers under each arm pit incase you get too warm, slant zipper pockets on both side in front, wide velcro tabs on the cuffs.
Can be worn alone as a jacket.

Nothing is better for long exposure to driving rain than plastic coated 200 Denier Nylon cloth. These are very durable and long lasting
Mil. Spec. shells. Used by
U.S. Special Forces
There are draw backs to them. They don't breathe like Gore-Tex. If you sweat a lot, you will be damp and possibly cold. But, you will keep the driving rain out. Moisture wicking clothing worn under these shells can help a lot.
